Saturday night out with friends after a fun filled night of dinner (lamb chops with apricot sauce...*yum) and wii at my place. Later on we went off to velvet. Haven't been there in ages. My first experience with a flaming sambuca. This was how it went; the drinks arrived in shots. Crystal clear liquid in neat little shot glasses. Pour contents into mouth, do not swallow. Wipe lips with serviette. Unless you don't mind setting your lips on fire.
Blisters on your lips is highly unattractive. Tilt head back. Open mouth. Light up contents of liquid in mouth. And voila! You get blue fire licking the insides of your mouth. An oddly interesting sensation. I hardly felt the heat honestly. Before you freak out, swallow the drink. The flame will go out immediately after you close your mouth. It tasted like listerine, the heat travels to your stomach and you get a tingling sensation at the back of your throat. Awesome party drink. Highly recommended.
