Yes folks, the hunt is on! Well, house hunting that is, the season is on! The future hub has managed to secure his finances and with some help from the bank, we can now officially begin the hunt for our very own place.
How super exciting!
So aside from the usual blog reading and net surfing for usual randomness I can now go to www.realestate.com.au and browse for houses. Although i admit i'm still getting the hang of trying to pick out a good pad within our price range. I get worried about it being way over budget, I get excited over the littlest things. I saw this 2 bedroom place and what caught my eye was, a fireplace! I was all, 'Dear, this one has a fireplace! how cute!'.. and he'd say, 'Yes dear, i saw that...'
Looks like someone doesn't share my enthusiasm on fireplaces.

As a guy, I have to say that fireplaces are horribly impractical. If its an old fireplace, then you're going to get a draft from it when not in use. If its a more contemporary one, then it still needs cleaning, not to mention space to store the firewood(which you have to buy) plus if it gets clogged for whatever reason, the smoke flows right back into the house! Horror!
