Every Saturday morning, i make it a point to bring Lacey out for a stroll in the park. She is the apple of my eye, and she holds the title for being the indisputably most adorable brown poodle. ever. Lacey is more of an indoor poodle. She reigns supreme in the house. She consciously plops her soft brown head on the throw pillows, simply because she knows that its comfortable. Absolutely refuses to have a good night's sleep without the ac. She stays indoors 7 days a week. Her only adventures out are occasional car rides and the weekend trips to grandma's house. So you can understand when on saturday mornings, i ask her if she would like to go out for a walk with me her response is one of great bubbly excitement. So off we go in our littel red car, the park a short distance away. The moment i put her on the leash and let her out. She's like a mini marathon runner. She makes a mad dash around the park. Much to my dismay, all i wanted was a leisurely stroll but I guess she's too preoccupied with the fresh air, muddy puddles & itchy grass to pay attention. So invariably i get dragged along in her frenzied pace. She sniffs at everything, and does it all in super fast forward. She keeps to the sidewalk at all times and seems to jump a little if her paws were to touch grass, as if surprised at this funny thing called grass. Lacey, you are truly meant for the great indoors! haha. After a while, i sorta get used to the idea of her mad dashes around the park. It takes a few rounds around the park before she can slow down. Its like a whole week of energy all saved up just so she can have her crazy run around the park.
So now i call it our Saturday morning jog. This way we both get our exercise.
