I present to you, my illustration. Of teh tarik. LOL. Just a little something i did at work that didn't make the cut. So i thought I'd feature it here instead. Kindda a waste to not show it off isn't it. I thought the splashes were 'oh-so-groovy'. This was first sketched by hand, then scanned and redrawn in AI. If you don't know what AI is, then you're in the wrong field buddy.5.21.2008
The one that got away.

She's with me.
I've decided, Lacey's moving over with me. This was the initial idea at first, but I had doubts because I've heard about all these horror stories about dogs dying in cargo, being put down if they don't pass quarantine. And, after doing some research, I've reason to believe that it was utterly rubbish. Since I've already gotten my visa, and will be leaving in July. I have to look for someone who will actually help me with relocating Lacey. And thankfully, I've found the person for it. A pet relocator! Did you know that there are actually people out there who migrate pets for a living. They handle everything from start to finish. How awesome is that?
Now, I had wanted to get Lacey over myself, and discovered that the procedures are no walk in the park. There are examinations, vaccines, blood tests, quarantines, travel arrangements, and a heap of paperwork to top it off. A huge task that would roughly take a year to complete. So its best to leave it to the professionals. All i need to do is to prepare a nice home for Lacey to arrive in, hopefully by the first quarter of next year.
So, i spoke to this really nice lady on the phone, Dawn. Who sounded like she knew what she was doing. I gave her my contact details and explained to her what kind of dog Lacey is... as in what breed. haha.. not stuff like, what kindda pajamas she likes to wear to sleep, or which is her fav squeaky toy. And Dawn said that she'll send me her quote through email. I've given her my email address, yesterday evening. And suffice to say, that i've spent every couple of hours or so today, checking my gmail for a reply. Well, still no reply yet. Where's my reply? Sigh, I honestly don't care how much it'll cost, I just want to know that she will willingly take on the job for me.
Leaving Lacey behind is something i don't even want to think about. She's my little person. She's with me.

This comes as a surprise even though it shouldn't have...
I got my fiance visa!
I'm happy, but anxious, yet excited... about the prospect of actually moving over to Melbourne.
And by moving over, it means, packing all my worldly belongings, whatever little life savings i have got, and clearing out my life in M'sia. Saying my goodbyes. Because I'm leaving!!
I'm rather pleased with myself, and Eugene. We managed to get my visa in less than 2 months from the date of application. After a tedious one month of obtaining all the necessary documents. We were told that it takes 3-6 months to get a reply. So imagine getting a call yesterday from my case officer, telling me i can come in to collect my visa. Just. Like. That.

Blew a bunch of cash on clothes but thats ok... cause:
I went for the Zara, Pull and Bear, Ted Baker, Massimo Dutti warehouse sale today. Was there super early at 9.30am with addie and suit. People were lining up since goodness knows when. I came out of it with 2 casual tops, 2 long sleeve, super soft sweaters for cold weather, 1 winter coat, 1 pair of ankle boots. Phew! I never worked so hard to get clothes before. I was a woman on a mission.
You know whats the best part after going through madness in any warehouse sales? You go home, sit down, pull out all the discounted price tags to see what was the actual price of the items. Tabulate the amount, and minus off the amount you actually spent on them. Which will result in a super big grin on your face, while feeling smug about how much you saved. Well, I saved rm669.10!! *skips happily around the room*
