My third dress fitting came and went. I didn't take any more pictures this time. I think it sorta kills the excitement, if i keep featuring the dress. So the next time I'm showing my dress on this blog, it'll probably be the real deal, on the BIG day. With, the flowers, hair, make up, veil, heels... Speaking of heels. I finally got them! Since there's no pretty dress pictures, lets have a look at my heels shall we.
I'm liking my heels a lot. There was a sale at Nine West. 30% off! Well, they're still the most expensive pair of heels i ever got. But then its for my wedding, and aren't these just the prefect wedding heels? Right when i got home to show my mum, she tells me that with her Citibank credit card she can get an extra 10% off. -_- (I should get a little annoyed at this point. But i wasn't! cause these heels are too pretty to get pissed at.)

Dress Fitting : Part Deux
Had my 2nd dress fitting last Saturday, I did mean to post up the pictures immediately, but I've had a hectic+crappy weekend. So I'm 2 days late i know, but here they are.
I was ecstatic when Paulynn showed me the dress. I think all I could say was: Omgomg!! Thank you thank you! and gave her a hug. This my dear readers was the reaction I was hoping for the first time I went for the dress fit. I'm so glad she got it right this 2nd time around. Lydia was saying that i needed some push up for this dress, well after i figured out how to put on the silicone bra.. all i can say is: We have cleavage!! *thumbs up*
So what do you think of the dress? I really like it a lot.
Will be going in for the 3rd dress fit this Saturday morning. Before then I need to get me a pair of wedding heels. So that I can make sure that the train isn't too long. I'm very bad at shoe shopping. You have no idea how hard it is to find a decent pair of white high heels. I have big feet. They're a size 7. Will be very grateful if a pair of them could magically appear at my doorstep. *wink

Someone's looking mighty different
We traded in Lacey for a different dog last weekend. This is how the new dog looks like:
Only kidding! I'm sure Lydia is throwing a fit right now. LOL. Yes! Lacey went to the groomers last Sunday and I told them to give her the dreaded "poodle cut". But look how cute she is anyway! I couldn't stop gushing about how super cute she looks. I love her no matter how she looks, but damn she looks so cute. And now we'll see her and go like, "Look! a Poodle!" *gasp*
and she'll stare at us with her beady eyes, thinking; the humans are acting crazy again, time to hide under the sofa.

Dress Fitting : Part Une
Here's a quick recap of my wedding dress so far. After consulting with 3 different bridal shops that specialize in made to measure gowns, I've decided to go with White & Lacy. Paulynn was the best among all 3, namely because, she could provide me with really good lace, and her rate was reasonable, there was quality in the workmanship, and not to mention the fact that her little shop was just minutes away from my place. The moment she said she could provide me with my burgundy velvet ribbon, i was sold. The other 2 shops seem to think that velvet ribbons are a myth or something, one even suggested to buy velvet cloth and cut strips out of it to make ribbon. So after getting my design sketched out, i got my measurements taken last month. And today was my first dress fitting. I was feeling rather excited and nervous about it. Seeing the dress for the first time, didn't take my breath away, i have to admit. But then, this was just the first dress fit, so there are still adjustments to be made and room for improvement. Its not that i hate the dress, it was made very well, and was a very close fit to my descriptions. I have to admit it was also my fault that i hadn't given much though to the bottom half of the dress, leaving it rather dull in my opinion. The top half was almost perfect... seeing how i had obsessed over it. So my advice to future brides going for the made to measure gown; plan out your dress carefully. Don't be too fixated on one aspect of the dress until you forget about the other parts of it. Go with your gut feeling, if you feel that somethings not right with the dress, voice it out.
Will be waiting for Paulynn's call with bated breath and fingers crossed. Have decided to add some tulle on the dress... Am fervently going through my bridal mags for some samples. Will post some examples if i see them online!
